Afterlife Research, The Fun of Dying, Understanding Reality
Nothing real can be threatened.
Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.
– ACIM, Preface.1:1-3
Seek Reality Online goes live officially on Monday, June 27th. But if you go to seekreality.com before that date, you will find that we are hosting a friends-and-family open house this weekend. Thank you for being its final testers! If you find anything amiss, please send me an email through the green contact block on Robertagrimes.com. This project may not look big to you, but its six months of preparation have felt like getting ready to storm the beaches of Normandy!
It is only now that we realize why no one else ever has attempted to do this. The greater reality to which we will be returning at the death of our bodies is at least as complex as the reality that we will be leaving behind when we go home, and it is immeasurably more enormous. Which means that in order for us to talk about the process of transitioning, we first must understand and teach almost every significant detail of what amounts to a whole new world! Nearly everyone who works in the broad field of death and afterlife research and education is a specialist in only one or a few of the fields of, for example:
…to choose ten fields of study at random, in each of which experts will typically spend their part-time, or even their full-time careers. There are other fields, too, that are more obscure, where knowledge must be gathered, such as researching the heyday of afterlife communications through deep-trance and physical mediums that occurred in the early part of the twentieth century, when so much good afterlife evidence was received. And each of these fields is fascinating! People go to presentations and sit and marvel at what the speakers have to say. But for Craig Hogan and me, the ten topic areas listed above, and many more besides, all had to be not only mastered, but also smoothly integrated into one unified field of knowledge before we could even contemplate how we might create Seek Reality Online.
Craig and I always have felt that the study of death and the afterlife had to be undertaken as one gigantic whole if you were going to attempt to teach any part of it. We both have thought that to do anything less made no sense. It is impossible to have any realistic concept of what happens at and after death unless you can make sense of that whole other world where these events are taking place! And how does that world fit with this one? I can recall as a child looking up and imagining that my great-grandparents must be sitting on clouds way up there above me, swinging their feet, looking down and likely bored out of their minds.
Our problem in working out how things fit together is of course vastly complicated by the fact that the scientific community always has refused to study any of the afterlife evidence. Their refusal is formal, rigidly enforced, and frankly as stupid as repeatedly hitting oneself in the face with a rubber bat. It dates to the first years of the twentieth century, when the scientific gatekeepers – the university departments and the peer-reviewed journals – were busy dealing with quantum mechanics at the same time that a flood of excellent afterlife communications received through physical mediums was being presented for scientific review. To avoid also dealing with the dead while they were at the same time having to cope with the quantum physics crisis, someone came up with what they were then calling “the fundamental scientific dogma of materialism.” And they thereby turned mainstream science, which nearly all civilians still naively assume is the open-minded pursuit of the truth, into the closed-minded religion of atheism. To maintain science as the religion of atheism, even a century further on, those gatekeepers to this day have consigned even the study of consciousness to the field of woo-woo, and they continue to insist that our brains must generate our minds, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Indeed, scientists have in recent years sought and obtained research grants totaling more than a billion dollars to try to find a source of consciousness lurking inside the human brain. And they are doing this, even though it turns out now based upon overwhelming and consistent evidence that consciousness is in fact the base creative force that generates all of reality! So you see now why my reference to research scientists repeatedly hitting themselves in the face with a rubber bat is extreme, but nevertheless tragically apt.
But Craig Hogan and I are not daunted! With nothing but the actual evidence to guide us, and with only the genuine truth to pursue, Craig and I and a few other open-minded citizen-scientists are doing the work in the field of afterlife research that credentialed scientists are not allowed to do at this point in a great many fields. With each of us working independently, we have managed to put together what actually happens at and after death. And then eventually we have found one another and compared notes. I still recall the thrill of that glorious day back in 2008 when I discovered Craig Hogan’s Your Eternal Self, which then was newly published. And I realized with a flood of joy that there actually was somebody else in this world who seemed to share my peculiar hobby!
Why more afterlife researchers haven’t undertaken this crucial task of orienting people as to where the afterlife is in relation to this material reality, and how it all actually works, I cannot say. But of course, that step is essential! People cannot fully lose their fear of death until they have some understanding of where the dead go, and how the whole process actually works, in some believable way. A child can think of great-grandma sitting on a cloud and swinging her feet, but no rational adult can accept that explanation as sufficient. So you see, this work in helping to ground people in the genuine truth about the afterlife process is extremely important!
I think it was Craig who first coined the phrase “the greater reality.” But whoever it was who had that insight opened everything wide for us, since we realize now that not only is this universe not the center of all that there is, but it isn’t even a major player. Still, that is a topic for another day. Once we had used an abundance of consistent afterlife evidence, plus quantum mechanics and general scientific principles, to map out at last how everything works, we began to look with increasing interest at what scientists call dark matter and dark energy. Scientists tell us that roughly 68% of the universe is made up of dark energy, and 27% is dark matter, and they are dark not because they are sinister but because they don’t react with photons of light, which means that they are not material. And they are intrinsically part of the universe itself. Hmmm. The proportions do seem to be about right. It seems now to be increasingly likely that scientists have discovered the beyond-gigantic astral plane where we spend our eternal lives, of which the afterlife is only a part. But still, mainstream scientists must obey the core dogma of their materialist religion, which allows them to study just that five percent which is this material universe!
For Craig and me, figuring the last bits out was satisfying, but in hindsight it was where our personal crisis began. We know for a certainty now that all human lives are eternal. But how can we happily take this knowledge with us when we soon go home, and leave a blindly ignorant world behind? Yet how do we sensibly boil down and teach the fruits of our eighty years of combined research to people who have lived their whole lives fearing death?
It has taken us the past five years to work this out. And still, we have settled on a teaching program now with a sense of trepidation. But given our ages, we can’t spend forever fussing over getting it perfectly right, so now we are giving it our best shot. Seek Reality Online consists of:
We ask that you consume those four modules in order! And please, take your time with the first two especially. You are undoing a lifetime of negative conditioning. It is a tragic fact that your first step in learning the truth must be to un-learn the lies that you have been taught by our culture’s most trusted institutions. Science and religions have taught you that you are a sinful meat-robot. All omplete lies. In fact, you are a powerful, eternal being, and it is impossible for you ever to die. What you experience in a dim way as human consciousness is the base creative force that continuously manifests this material reality. There is no cranky Big Guy with a beard to judge you, and you need fear no fiery hell. Best of all, you in particular in all the universe are infinitely loved.
And for so long as Craig and I remain functional, we plan to conduct very frequent Zoom groups and lectures, and to offer a lot of coddling. I don’t know whether we can maintain that afterward into a new generation of managers, but we are going to try. My Thomas tells me that its modest monthly membership fee will allow SRO to maintain itself forevermore. Well, we shall see!
Dear Roberta. It’s here! I haven’t done much yet but register. The credit card scan feature is way cool! I am sooo excited! Thanks to you, Craig, and all of those in bodies and not who work(ed) on this. Is it low vibe to be proud to be invoice #9 ?
Wow, my dear Ray, I didn’t even know it had a credit card scan feature! Nor did I know that it handed out invoices. My goodness. 🙂
And for anyone who might be curious, Craig and I are complete neophytes in the world of e-commerce, so it was my Thomas who decided all of that (he, who hasn’t been in a body since long before there even was an internet, knew at once exactly what he wanted). He insisted that, first, we had to have a free course that would teach the whole series of facts in fifteen short videos or one podcast. Had to be free. And, second, we had to have that very inexpensive monthly membership. All the experts told us it was way too cheap. I told Thomas that. He said we were both going to die soon so the website had to fund itself. “But it’s too cheap!” I sputtered. He said derisively, “Just multiply it by a million.” So obviously he thinks SRO is going to do pretty well!
What if I substitute giddy for proud? Also add congratulations to thanks.
Oh my dear, none of it would be possible for me without the support of my wonderful friends here!!
good job you guys! https://afterlifeforums.com/threads/seek-reality-online-about-to-go-live.3764/#post-67675
Heh – my dear Mac, I promised you that you would be proud of your affiliation with us here eventually! I’m just sorry that it has been such a very long eventually….
Thank you! I have been looking forward to for, well, an eternity!😁
Oh my dear Mike, it hasn’t been quite that long. Although I do think that I first mentioned the idea for SRO to you a good five years ago, over lunch perhaps, so it really has been awhile!
Yes! Anyway no matter how long it is worth the wait!
Bingo: ” Science and religions have taught you that you are a sinful meat-robot. All complete lies. In fact, you are a powerful, eternal being, and it is impossible for you ever to die. ”
How ironic that the two greatest scientists, Newton and Einstein, had no doubt about a God creator, and their science was aimed at discovering Him thru His Creation.
And currently, science (cosmology) is certain that the visible world is only about 5% of the world that owns the property of gravitation. But since immaterial consciousness is not affected by material gravity, the scope of the real world (the full consciousness of God) is vastly greater than the material world contained in it.
Oh my dear beautiful Jack, as always, this is so perfectly said! And my own personal favorite traditional scientist, the German Max Planck, who won the 1918 Nobel Prize in Physics as the father of quantum mechanics, and whose son was hanged for taking part in a failed plot to assassinate Hitler, actually discovered that consciousness is the primary force – and for that he deserves some sort of posthumous prize for having proposed a consciousness theory of everything! But mainstream physics now is irretrievably nutty, as you know. It is a great relief that our doing further work in this field simply won’t need them!
SRO will be the vessel to convey the simple elements of life, death and what precedes and follows them. All will be there for seekers to find. 🙂
Ah yes, my dear Mac. I wanted to wait and do further organization of the evidence, but more rational heads prevailed. Craig feels that as the website develops, we will likely be doing further iterations of it to make it easier for people to better organize and prioritize their research.
Dearest Roberta,
Having registered I started to read the SRO’s introductory material. This led to a couple of my longstanding questions. My hope is that others may have the same questions,
First, a Doh moment when you explain why the Astral Plane is dark; because there is nothing to interact with photons,
Second, everything apparently has a vibration level but just what is it that is vibrating? Does this vibration follow something like Maxwell’s equations?
Yours,
Cookie
My dear Cookie, the astral plane actually isn’t dark to its inhabitants, but rather it is lit in gradations by – you guessed it – the light of love 🙂 So the lowest levels are quite dark (as witness Jesus’s term “the outer darkness”), while the middle levels (3-4) are about like a cloudy New England day, and 4-5 are a sunny New England day. Go above that, and things are even brighter!
And I don’t know who Maxwell is, but everything is energy, and energy vibrates. At its lowest and slowest level it vibrates the least, while the higher and the closer to perfect love you go, the more rapid the vibration becomes.
I hope this helps!
D, your question about how vibration phenomena may relate to Maxwell’s equations is a good one for revealing the futility of current physics to deal with the realm of consciousness. There are four basic equations about how electricity and magnetism work, and interact to describe (not really explain) measurements of electric flow and change of electric flow, change of electric flow on generating magenetic fields, and magnetic fields likewise persisting and changing and creating and changing electic flow. the equations make use of complex calculus rules that most physicists and electrical and electronics engineers do not master to do their jobs. The equations say NO THING about why electricity and magnetism function individually and and why they interact as they do, i.e., the equations are extremely good at predicting their behavior , but are clueless about the intrinsic nature or electricity and magnetism. The question about why fundamental forces operate as they do is beyond conventional physics and engineering. Furthermore, I doubt if any huiman science is capable of such understanding for lack of a consolidatd perspective of what exists in spirit and material realms.
Let’s consder how human perspective is always localized such that in cannot in principle gain a comprehensive perspective of what exists and how change occurs. Let’s consider perspective as a function of local context. If a seeing eye were placed into an atom to see how the nucleus and electron orbits operate, that eye would see the orbiting, and the quantized shifting of orbits when a photon or electron penetrates an atom, but noy why the interaction follows as may then be seen. Furthermore, from the perspective of an atom, molecules are even more mysterious.
Philosophically, the inability to predict and fundamentally understand the functioning of multiple atoms in forming molecules, and thus inability to predict molecular formation (there is some predictability, but it’s very limited), and then the behavior of multiple molecules has been recognized by the term “emergence.” Humorously, emergence is much like the term “dark” applied to unseen energy and matter as it clocks ignorance with a term that entices the feelings of explanation– but has no explanatory power.
Physicists have long pursued the idea of “reductionism” by which relatively complex phenomena may be explained by rules about their underlying constituents, but physics has recorded a spectacular failure to make reductionsm work ( see Laughlin, R. A Different Universe: Reinventing Physics from the Bottom Down, New York: Basic Books, 2005 ).
But this problem of comprehending the whole of reality by looking at any “isolated” part of it is in principle unresolvable. In my own research I have described what I term the Principle of Interior Unknowability which aserts that any observer located within any phenomenon to be observed and explained cannot in principle learn about how it originated. A perfectly good principle of science is for the scientific observer to locate “outside” of a phenomenon to be able to unobtrusively observe it. Regarding the formation of the martrial universe, because we are located within it, we cannot ever step ourtside of it to watch how it originated, much as fish born ion a fishtank cannot in principle gain any knowledge about the non-obvious details of its construction, and its contained water. Likewise, because our consciousness functions in what I term the Universal Field of Consciousness (alternatively termed, the mind of God), we can never locate outside of consciousness to observe how it originates and functions.
The knowledge we may acquire as humans is tremendously limited in ways that science cannot in principle overcome.
Dear Jack,
Your last sentence, “The knowledge we may acquire as humans is tremendously limited in ways that science cannot in principle overcome.” Pretty much says it all. I imagine that once I have transitioned I will be able to fill in the gaps in physical knowledge, but I probably won’t even care about such things.
What I think I’d rather do is simply bask in the love coming from all directions for a while before I get down to the business at hand.
Thank you for helping me focus on what is really important, Jack
Dear David,
You are most welcome. I agree that the issues that seem important and vex us here will disappear when we return home.
The NDE reports reliably say that so much knowledge is available with no effort by spirit, that they feel God shares all there is to know; I suspect that’s more of a feeling that true, given the profoundly mysterious nature of God.
Science has been wonderful in providing tools for engineering improved material standards of living. Unfortunately, that benefit has fostered an illusion that materialist science also offers all that is seriously worth knowing, when in reality material science has run humanity into a blind alley– but that will not matter when we return home.
Above, I wrote that God has a profoundly mysterious nature. That has reminded me of the one possible time I may have heard from Him. Circa 20 years ago while I was researching how the world could have originated, I ran into a logical block that stumped any possible explanation.
Consider two possibilities:
1. The world just simply always existed, whether or not it changes or evolves. Well this explanation is no explanation at all as it simply asserts its answer without any evidence or logical reasoning.
2. The world somehow emerged from nothing, from no existing space and time, or any other dimension, from a perfect void. Well, that answer defies our common sense, and logic.
I became extemely frustrated day after day about lacking even the slightest plausible explanation for why anything exists. Then at one point as I was vexing, an unvoiced idea came into mind saying, with a felt humor, “I dont know either.” I knew that was not my own idea as it came as a surprise. Made me laugh and laugh for a long time afterwards.
Congratulations, Roberta and Craig (and all those who worked with you). I know that this is the beginning of something special and I pray that it reaches many of God’s children.
It would be interesting if the main web page had a “hit counter”, so we can see how it grows. It’s a very simple feature to add.
God bless us all in expanding this endeavor.
Your friend,
David D.
My dear David, I have changed the name of my SRO partner in your post to Craig, since that is who I think you mean. And Craig does plan to do Google Analytics on the site, to know how many go to it, how long they stay, etc. He wants to make sure we make it as attractive as possible! We will indeed keep you all posted here as things move forward, since I imagine you will be interested. We don’t want explosive growth, but rather we hope for controlled growth in the U.S. and Canada over the next year, then Australia and New Zealand, and finally Europe and Asia in the third year. Something like that. We’ll see how it goes!
I absolutely can’t wait to get started on this!! And it’s a simple way that I can refer my kids to if for some reason I hit my exit point earlier than I expect.
Oh my dear David, please don’t you leave us too! I used to mildly worry that teaching those I loved to be free of the fear of death might encourage them to relax their self-protective instincts perhaps, but so far that hasn’t proven to be the case. Still, it is lovely, isn’t it, to know that if it does happen, it won’t be anything to worry about!
Remember none of us will leave before our time. If we are less afraid of leaving, great—but when we still have work to do, we are needed here more than ever! There will be no mass resignation, don’t worry. It is the mission!
Oh no, my dear, of course that’s true. And it’s great to see you back here in full force, my dear one, and leading the charge!!
I have already sent forth the great news to several friends and family about this life-changing course. And, Ray, I too celebrate being one of the earliest members, Invoice #10; so I’m just reveling in the low vibe with you! I believe this is the beginning of something unimaginably big and glorious for the whole world. Thank you, Roberta and Craig, for putting together this beautiful endless project for us all.
Janelle 😊
Congratulations Roberta, Craig and ALL!
This is very exciting!
David
I’m in! #26 on June 26, and a great # if you’re a kabbalist, so that’s a fun one. As you’re fond of saying, Roberta, this should be fun! 👍❤
Oh my gosh it’s here !! My fear of death is horrific as I have said so many times and my fear comes from people who told me with conviction that their way was the “right” way with no variation hellfire and brimstone which has crippled me ….
The fear makes me so ill that at times death would feel like a welcome relief … I’m off to register now ….
Much love and well done Roberta and Craig
Xxxxxxxx
We have lift off ! 🚀
Congratulations 🎉🍾🎈
I’m looking forward to seeing SRO for myself. Very much. Very, very much.
It is pure Gift ! 🎁
🙏🏼❣️🕊🌅
Dear Roberta –
First a big THANK YOU! As if the “Fun of Dying” wasn’t enough, you continue to outdo yourself before our very eyes, and I for one am ecstatic that you do!
So how could any of us not resist the link to SeekReality.com, finished or not? I’m there now in another browser tab and just beginning to explore. It sure looks finished to me but I’ll be back ASAP to see the polished final product. (And again and again!)
You and your colleagues (especially those on the other side) are the antidote to the pounding we take from the everyday news of this world. Without the assurance of a brilliant after life, it would be cruel indeed. I will share this link as soon as you tell us it’s ready, maybe even sooner!
Thank you!
